Customer Cookie Policy
This policy explains how MyRatedPros Global Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on our customer website, and how you can manage your choices.
1Who We Are
- This policy is issued by MyRatedPros Global Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales under company number 17343404, with registered office at Suite 3, 210 Upper Richmond Road, London, United Kingdom, SW15 6NP ("we", "us", "our").
- Questions about this policy or your privacy can be sent to privacy@myratedpros.com. How we handle your personal data more generally is explained in our Customer Privacy Policy.
2What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
- Cookies. A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies let the site recognise your device, remember your actions and preferences, and understand how the site is used.
- Session and persistent cookies. "Session" cookies last only for your browsing session and are deleted when you close your browser. "Persistent" cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
- First- and third-party cookies. "First-party" cookies are set by us. "Third-party" cookies are set by another organisation whose services we use, such as an analytics or advertising provider.
- Similar technologies. We also use technologies that work like cookies, including pixels, tags and web beacons. In this policy, references to "cookies" include these similar technologies unless we say otherwise.
3The Categories of Cookies We Use
We group the cookies we use into the following categories:
Strictly necessary
Essential to operate the website and provide the services you have asked for — for example page navigation, security, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choices. These do not require your consent, and the website cannot function properly without them, so they cannot be switched off.
Functional
Remember choices you make to give you a better experience — for example your preferences and settings. These are non-essential and used only with your consent.
Analytics / performance
Help us understand how the website is used, so we can measure and improve performance. These are non-essential and used only with your consent.
Advertising / targeting
Used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and, where applicable, to show and personalise ads and understand which ads lead people to us. These are non-essential and used only with your consent.
4Cookies and Technologies We Use — Details
The specific cookies and technologies we use include those below. Exact names and durations may change as we update the website; this table is kept current and is illustrative of the types in use.
| Name / provider | Category | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session / security cookies (set by us) | Strictly necessary | Enable core site functions, security and load balancing. | Session |
| Cookie-consent preference (set by us) | Strictly necessary | Remember your cookie choices so we do not ask every visit. | Persistent |
| Preferences / settings cookies (set by us) | Functional | Remember settings and choices you make on the site. | Persistent |
| Google Analytics (set by Google) | Analytics | Understand usage, pages visited and performance, to improve the site. | Persistent |

Where we add or change advertising or analytics tools, we update this table and reflect the change in our cookie banner.
5Advertising and Google Ads
- We advertise MyRatedPros online, including through Google Ads. To understand whether our adverts work — for example whether a visit led to a Quotation Request — we use advertising and conversion-tracking cookies and tags provided by Google.
- These cookies are non-essential and are set only where you have consented to advertising cookies through our cookie banner. If you do not consent, we do not set them, and you can still use the website normally.
- Where advertising cookies are used with your consent, the relevant third parties (such as Google) may process the data collected under their own privacy and cookie policies, and may combine it with other data they hold. We encourage you to review Google's privacy and advertising policies for details.
- You can withdraw your consent to advertising cookies at any time (see clause 6), and you can also use Google's own ad-settings controls to manage ad personalisation.
6Consent and Your Choices
- Our cookie banner. When you first visit the website, we show a cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically because they are essential. Functional, analytics and advertising cookies are not set unless and until you consent.
- Your options. The banner lets you accept all non-essential cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or manage your choices by category before saving. Rejecting non-essential cookies is as easy as accepting them, and you are not required to accept any non-essential cookies to use the website.
- Changing your mind. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — for example if you previously chose "Reject All" and now wish to accept, or the other way around. Use the button below (also available in the footer of every page) to reopen your cookie settings, or clear cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place.
- Manage preferences. The "Manage" option lets you turn each category of non-essential cookies on or off individually before saving your choice.
7Managing Cookies in Your Browser
- Most browsers let you view, manage, delete and block cookies, usually in the "settings" or "preferences" menu under a "privacy" or "cookies" heading.
- If you block or delete strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website may not work properly.
- Because controls differ between browsers and devices, we suggest using your browser's help function for step-by-step guidance. Guidance is also available from the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
8Third-Party Cookies and Transfers
- Some cookies are set by third parties whose services we use, such as Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads) and Microsoft (Clarity). These third parties process the data collected through their cookies in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies.
- Some of these providers are based outside the UK and EEA, which may involve international transfers of personal data. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards are in place, as explained in our Customer Privacy Policy.
- We do not control third-party cookies, and we encourage you to review the relevant third party's own policy for details of how they use data.
9Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if the cookies we use change. The current version is always available on the website, with the "last updated" date shown at the top.
- Where a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
10How to Contact Us
- If you have any questions about this Cookie Policy or our use of cookies, contact our Privacy Team at privacy@myratedpros.com, or by post at our registered office marked "Privacy Team".
- You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
